Brian Pace Wins the Department of Ed. Psych Research Award!

4/12/2015

Friday April 10th was the annual Supervision and Student Recognition Awards ceremony to honor the supervisors and students who have worked hard to support their communities, both academically and socially. Brian Pace was  honored with the department research award for his work with veteran suicide risk, multicultural competence in counseling, and Motivational Interviewing efficacy.
Brian worked with University of Utah's Craig Bryan to examine the effects of military deployment on suicide risk with meta-analysis (for more information see the link on the right). Additionally, Karen Tao (pictured below), Zac, and Brian collaborated on a meta-analysis on multicultural competence and psychotherapy processes and outcomes. Finally, he is currently finishing up research examining why Motivational Interviewing works. Congrats Brian!
