A recent article published by USC News highlights research we are conducting with our collaborating labs (at the University of Washington and USC) to understand how psychotherapy works, and develop methods of evaluating therapists. The eventual goal is to provide real time feedback to therapists regarding aspects of their session, such as empathy towards the client, as a means of monitoring and enhancing patient care.
