Welcome Katie!

8/26/2019

We're off to a new school year and want to welcome the incoming cohort of students to the Counseling Psychology program, and specifically our newest member of the LPS - Katie Axford! We're so excited to have you on the team. Katy has joined the lab after completing her Master's Degree. She's interested in researching therapy processes and how they relate to outcomes. She also enjoys being outside, and will fit right in to Utah! Welcome!

The LPS and friends made it out to a Salt Lake Bees game on Friday evening. The Bees lost to Fresno, but we still had a great time with good friends, food, and fireworks!

We want to extend a warm LPS welcome to Keith Gunnerson, third year doctoral student, who has just joined the lab. Keith will be working with the team on providing automated feedback to therapists, as well as his own research. Keith is broadly interested in how religiosity integrates into psychotherapy process. We're excited to have you on board!

Oh how the time flies! We are already on the first day of the Fall 2017 semester, just in time to watch the solar eclipse (faculty, students, and friends pictured right). Our second years--Keith, Derek, and Kritzia--have completed their preliminary exams, we're registered for classes, and the R01 and PCORI grants continue to be up and running! We're looking forward to the excitement and challenges that this year will bring.
